Content: This item is a comprehensive chronological table of Japanese history which covers the period from the enthronement of the Emperor Jinmu to the surrender of Japan. It was
produced by the South East Area Army Headquarters as a supplement to a history textbook. History of Japan was one of the main subjects taught at Japanese camps while soldiers were waiting to be repatriated. The chronological table includes the names of eras and Emperors and describes major events and their historical significance. Major events in the world are also noted for comparison. No explanatory remarks or analysis of historical significance are provided regarding the events after the First London Meeting (?), although the entries of major historical events extend to the arrival of General MacArthur in Japan and the establishment of the Nusahara government.
