Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Aitape on 22 April 1944 when US forces landed at Aitape in an effort to isolate the 18th Army at Wewak. This item contains operational orders numbers 7, 21, 23, 25–27, 29–34, 42–85, 87–10, dated 23 October 1943 to 31 January 1944, for 248th Flying Regiment. The orders concern air protection for convoys, interception of Allied airplanes, attacks on Allied convoys, and landing operations. Operational flight details include assembly points, altitude, formation (with diagrams), routes and emergency landing fields.

This item covers the period when the 248th Flying Regiment flew on operations mainly from the Wewak airfields and Hollandia.
