Content: This item is a set of instructions issued in February 1944, concerning the deployment of troops and equipment by the 41st Division in the Madang area. It delegates transport, engineering and guard duties to the relevant units of the division, and includes a table indicating troop numbers and their transport arrangements. There are some small, hand-drawn maps indicating river crossing points, and at the back of the instructions is an order relieving 2nd Lt TASAKI of his duties as a platoon commander in the 41st Division Infantry, and transferring him to the independent Motor Car Battalion. This item was captured at Hansa Bay in July 1944.
