Content: This item provides guidance to former servicemen for interpreting and understanding the Imperial rescript delivered at the beginning of 1946. The first few pages of the document contains comments on different paragraphs of the rescript, which are followed by the actual text of each paragraph and detailed explanation. The item also includes a few citations from the rescripts delivered on 8 December 1941 and 14 August 1945, which are analysed in relation to the 1946 rescript.
