Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Kimiri Airfield (Noemfoor Island) on 3 July 1944 during the Allied attacks on Japanese positions in northern Dutch New Guinea, which were intended to isolate the 18th Army at Wewak. This item is the Army transfer lists (nos. 29-32, 34, 40 and 42), issued by the Ministry of War, dated 15 February to 2 March 1944. They contain the rank, name, old and new assignments of Army officers. Unit listings include armies, divisions, flying units, transport units, regiments, depots and schools. |
