| Content: | This item is an official journal for the period from April to August 1943, recording the whereabouts of soldiers belonging to the 238th Infantry Regiment Infantry Gun Detachment. It is marked "secret" and records the dates of hospitalisation of soldiers due to illness or injury, and the date of their subsequent death or release. It also contains information about the dispatch of soldiers to the 238th Regiment Headquarters for special duties such as the education of new recruits, soldiers who were left behind in Wewak to guard horses belonging to the army, and the calculation of salary payments.
