Content: This sub-series consists of articles from the Chûgoku Newspaper, a local newspaper circulated in Hiroshima and neighbouring prefectures. Matters discussed include the occupation of the Hiroshima area by BCOF, the involvement of BCOF(BCFK) in the Korean War, the withdrawal of the Allied occupation forces, the return of requisitioned properties, the relationship between the occupation forces and Kure citizens, war brides and mixed-blood children, unemployment issues related to the reduction and withdrawal of the occupation forces, crimes committed by BCOF soldiers, etc.
