| Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda news bulletin produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. Events covered by this issue include the operations in the Philippines, the naval operations off Formosa, the war situation in Europe, the Allied bombing of German military production sites, the air raids on Japanese positions in Balikpapan, the retreat of Japanese troops from Kohima and Imphal. It also reports the appointment of TOKUGAWA Kuniaki as President of the House of Peers. The English translation (original) has a section entitled "Prime Minister's Call for Official Discipline", which is not included in the Japanese version. 100,000 of them were printed and further 400,000 for PWB. About 450,000 of these leaflets were dispatched to PWB in Brisbane between 2 and 7 November 1944, 49,000 to Darwin on 8 November 1944, and 57,000 to Hollandia on 9 November 1944. |
