Content: | This item is a small propaganda leaflet in Japanese which was produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Pacific War. It reports the massive losses by the Japanese Navy during the battles of the Coral Sea, Midway and elsewhere. The purpose of the leaflet appears to be increasing the anxiety among the Japanese about supplies from Japan. It mentions that supplies from Japan would be disrupted as a result of the fleet losses, and the Japanese in the south-west Pacific, left without food and reinforcements, will fall prey to tropical diseases. |
