Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. An English translation of the text is attached. The message advises Japanese soldiers in New Guinea that the Japanese General Staff has been hiding the defeat in New Guinea and has decided to abandon soldiers there so that they will not live to tell the truth of the failed campaign. It urges Japanese officers and men to surrender so that they can live to tell the truth. 10,000 of them were printed. |
