Content: This item consists of a notebook containing various military rules, regulations, songs and other information copied in pencil. It belonged to KANENAGA Keisuke from Tokyo, who from the content can be identified as belonging to a unit in the Imperial Japanese Army Air Service Corps. The rules and regulations were perhaps copied as a mnemonic aid and include extracts from the Air Services Drill Manual, the Imperial Army Ceremonial Manual, and the Field Services Manual - Operations. The notebook was probably captured in the Philippines in late 1944 or early 1945.
