Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Leading Private JA145601 of the 78th Infantry Regiment 10th Company, who was captured in Wampun, east of Dumpu, on 3 October 1943. JA145601, a 24 year old Leading Private from Fukuoka, was captured by Australian troops during his retreat to Madang. During the interrogation, JA145601 provided information on unit organisation, movement, wireless communication signals, his service experience, chemical gases, and the economic situation in Manchuria. A diagram of the communication method between units was attached. |
