Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured in Central Luzon on 2 May 1945 during the Allied campaign to recapture the Philippines. This item is a pamphlet entitled "General survey of the South-East China coast from the standpoint of military geography", issued in November 1944 by Army Department, Imperial General Headquarters. It contains a discussion of strategically significant areas of the southeast China coast including, likely airfield sites, suitable landing sites, availability of railways, transportation problems and anchorages.
