Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Hollandia on 24 April 1944 during the Allied attacks on Japanese positions in northern Dutch New Guinea, which were intended to isolate the 18th Army at Wewak. This item is a collection of medical reports contained in bulletins of 1st, 4th , 6th and 8th Fleet and 12th Air Fleet Headquarters, held by the Chief Medical Officer of 9th Fleet, dated November 1943 to 20 January 1944. It contains a report on the treatment of patients evacuated from Lae-Salamaua via Wewak-Hollandia to Palau, a reference to the handling of pensions from 8th Fleet bulletin, a summary of the bulletin from the Chief Medical Officers Meeting (6th Fleet Headquarters) in November 1943, materials for the study of submarine sanitation based on a report from a Japanese medical officer who went on a cruise on a German submarine, a patient's chart for the 12th Air Fleet for October 1943, and a summary of bulletin from the Chief Medical Officers Meeting of November 1943 (12th Air Fleet Headquarters).
