Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. An English translation of the text is accompanied. This leaflet reports the advance of the Allied Forces into the Philippines, the losses of the Japanese Navy during the battle off the Philippines, the bombings of Japanese ships near Luzon Island, the Parawan Sea and Sandakan, and the air raids on Japanese positions in Celebes, Halmahera, Seram and Ambon. It also mentions the war situation in Europe and includes a brief joke at the end. 100,000 of them were printed. 51,500 of these leaflets were dispatched to Darwin on 17 November 1944, and 51,000 to Hollandia on 17 November 1944. |
