| Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Cape Gloucester on 15 June 1944 during the Allied campaign to capture New Britain. This item is an extract from a manual entitled "Provisional manual and textbook for medical NCO candidates", published on 25 April 1940 by KOBAYASHI Matashichi, Tokyo. This document belonged to Manchuria 4614 Force (presumably 79th Line of Communications Hospital, Mientuho Northern District, Hsingan). It contains information on the organisation of wartime medical bodies, instructions for the transportation of patients, medical care for troops on march and medical services in battle zones. |
