Content: This item consists of a compilation of articles and poems written by Japanese soldiers describing their experiences in the Philippines. The book was edited by the Southern Cross editorial section of the Jinchû Newspaper, printed by the Manila Hibi Newspaper Company, and published by the Propaganda Section of the Philippines Expeditionary Army. The book has chapters dedicated to the capture of Manila, conditions in the Philippines, and the capture of the Bataan Peninsula. It was probably captured in late 1944 or the first half of 1945.
