Content: This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. An English translation of the text is attached. It is dated between 23 and 27 October 1944. The leaflet carries three pictures depicting the successful air operations by the Allied Forces off the Philippines. It also includes a rough map of Southeast and Northeast Asia. The text details the sinking of Japanese ships by the Allied Forces during the operation of23 to 27 October 1944. 130,000 of them were printed in total. 21,000 of these leaflets were dispatched to Hollandia on 11 January 1945, 21,000 to Morotai on 11 January 1945, 41,750 to Lae on 16 January 1945 and and 21,000 to Torokina on 16 January 1945.
