Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Hollandia on 24 April 1944 during the Allied attacks on Japanese positions in northern Dutch New Guinea, which were intended to isolate the 18th Army at Wewak. This item is an intelligence report from the Kami Organisation (Special Service Organisation), dated 10 December 1943 to 14 March 1944. It contains information on a range of subjects, based on the unit's reconnaissance activities, including: general notes on natives in the Hollandia area, causes of anti-Japanese activities among natives, statistics on Allied air raids, Allied intelligence activities, movement of Allied warships, military geography, pacification activities in various areas and an account of the murder of three village police. This document also contains a map of dispositions of Australian and US forces in the South-West Pacific Area, Japanese estimates of various types of Allied warships in Alaska, and the results of Allied bombing on the native people.

Much of the information contained in this report was received from the 8th Naval Construction Section, which had been operating in Dutch New Guinea for some time.
