Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Albay, Luzon, on 8 April 1945 during the Allied campaign to recapture the Philippines. This item is an instruction manual entitled "Functioning of the Type 3, 8 cm mortar", issued by the Tateyama Naval Gunnery School Laboratory (undated). It was extracted from a file entitled "Reference for artillery units", dated November 1944 and held by Kitai Unit.
