Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Maffin on 28 May 1944 during the Allied attacks on Japanese positions in northern Dutch New Guinea, which were intended to isolate the 18th Army at Wewak. This item contains the specifications on airplane machine gun and machine cannon ammunition, bombs and flares, issued by the Army Engineering School in November 1939. Weaponry covered in this document includes: Vickers Model E machine-gun, Type 89 Flexible and Type 89 Fixed machine-gun, Type 94 Flexible machine-cannon ammunition, Type 90 Parachute and Wing Flares, and, 28 types of anti-personnel, demolition, incendiary and dummy bombs.
