| Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. An English translation of the text is attached. The leaflet emphasises that there is no way out for the Japanese troops isolated in the South and encourages the recipient to surrender so that he can live to serve the country in the future. 10,000 of them were printed. 6,300 of these leaflets were dispatched to Torokina on 16 January 1945 and 6,000 to Lae on 15 March 1945. 50,000 of this item were furrther printed on 12 July 1945 and dispatched to Hollandia on 24 July 1945. |
