| Content: | This is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. An English translation of the text is attached. This issue dated 22 January 1945 reports the advance of the American forces towards Manila and the air raid on the South China coast and Formosa which saw 30 Japanese ships sunk and 87 planes destroyed. The establishment of supply lines between Burma and China and the progress of the war in Europe are also discussed briefly. There is a map of the Asia-Pacific region on the back of the leaflet. 120,000 of them were printed. 20,000 of these leaflets were dispatched to Tadji, 20,000 to Torokina, 20,0000 to Hollandia, 29,600 to Morotai, and 32,000 to Darwin. All of them were dispatched on 2 February 1945. |
