Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Corporal JA145737 of the 80th Infantry Regiment Signals Company, who was captured in Gali near Weber Point on 13 March 1944. JA145737, a 28 year old Corporal from Fukuoka Prefecture, was extremely exhausted due to malaria and starvation when he was captured by Papuan Infantry Battalion (PIB) troops. During the interrogation, JA145737 provided information on unit organisation, movement, medical treatment and evacuation of the sick, and industrial areas in Japan, such as Ômuta and Hamaeki.
