Content: This item appears to be an English translation of a Japanese-language propaganda news bulletin produced by the Allied Forces. It is not accompanied by a copy of the Japanese original. The bulletin reports that Russia declared war on Japan on 9 August 1945, in the wake of the demolition of Hiroshima by an atomic bomb on 6 August. Copies of the Japanese version were distributed in the Balikpapan Bay area.
