Content: This item is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Old Vickers near Bobdubi on 15 July 1943 during the Japanese retreat from campaigns in the Owen Stanley Ranges. This item contains operational orders for the Ogawa Unit covering operations in the Bobdubi-Mubo-Salamaua area between 11 May and 26 June 1943 and includes information on combat operations, enemy dispositions, battle maps, communications, ammunition and rations, and plans to defend Salamaua.
