Content: This Japanese-language propaganda leaflet was produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office at the end of the Pacific War. An English translation of the text is attached. It announces that Japan surrendered on 15 August and issued an Imperial rescript on 16 August. It also states that members of the Imperial family will visit various areas to ensure the above commands are carried out and that a Japanese envoys left for Manila on 18 August to sign the instrument of surrender. It also reports that the Suzuki cabinet had resigned and been replaced, with Prince HIGASHIKUNI as the prime minister.
