Content: This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. An English translation of the text is attached. It reports on the unsuccessful attempt to capture Port Moresby, the annihilation in Milne Bay and the defeats in the naval battles of the Coral Sea and Midway. The message stresses that the Allies are now on the offensive as a result of the erroneous strategies of the Japanese General Staff and that soldiers in New Guinea are being sacrificed in a useless war. 50,000 of them were printed.
