Content: This item is an official diary for the month of October 1943 recording the activities of a platoon in the 4th Company of the 39th Independent Motor Car Battalion, while stationed at Yokopi. It contains daily orders and reports concerning unit activities such as transport operations between Yaula and Yokopi, road building and maintenance, and vehicle maintenance. There are frequent reports of enemy attacks in the region, especially at Yaula and Mabelebu, eventually resulting in orders for the unit to relocate to Bau-ak. This item was captured at Hansa Bay in July 1944.
