Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Hollandia (Jayapura) on 30 April 1944 during the Allied attacks on Japanese positions in northern Dutch New Guinea, which were intended to isolate the 18th Army at Wewak. This item is a journal entitled "Liaison diary" kept by the 4th Air Army Regular Liaison Station in Hollandia, dated 1 January to 31 January 1944. It contains information on the movement of civilian and military personnel, mail, official documents and freight between Hollandia, New Guinea, Rabaul, the Netherlands Indies, Manila and Japan.
