Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Superior Private JA145655 of the 26th Field Artillery Regiment 3rd Battalion 8th Company Command Group Observation Group, who was captured at Sattelberg on 3 December 1943. JA145655, a Superior Private from Saga, was weak with malaria and surrendered to Australian troops. During the interrogation, JA145655 provided information on unit organisation in detail, movements, equipment, defences in Wewak, and impacts of the Allied attacks. He provided some information on industries in Manchuria, including the company he used to work for, Kyowa Tetsudan KK. Diagrams for calculating the range of mountain artillery and a range finder are also included in the report.
