Content: This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. An English translation of the text is attached. The leaflet has the same text as the item numbered 7/9/12 J268, which emphasises the futility of waging war and urges Japanese soldiers to surrender to the Allied Forces. The leaflet includes an illustration depicting a rural village in Japan. 80,000 of them were printed. 40,000 of these leaflets were dispatched to Morotai on 26 and 27 June 1945 and 35,000 to Lae on 29 June 1945
