| Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda news bulletin produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. An English translation of the text is provided. This issue reports the advance of the Allied Forces toward mainland Japan, the bombing of Tokyo by B-29 bombers, the bombing of major Japanese industrial sites, the return of Allied battleships to the Cavite Naval Bases and the underperformance of the Japanese Navy in securing supply lines. It also reports on the war situation in Europe, the Crimea Conference and the control over Italy. This issue includes a picture of an Allied nurse feeling the pulse of a wounded Japanese soldiers and a picture of British battleship H.M.S. Howe. 150,000 of them were printed. 52,000 of these leaflets were dispatched to Darwin on 26 March 1945, 24,000 to Torokina on 27 March 1945, 48,000 toMorotai, and 22,500 to Lae on 29 March 1945. |
