Content: This item is part of a compilation of reports and analyses of battles titled "Lessons from the battlefield". It was issued on 26 Jul 1944, probably by the Southern Area Army GHQ. It contains a chart outlining details of various battles fought in Finschhafen, Lakona, Masawaen River, Aitape, Biak Island and Saipan in 1943 and 1944. It gives place names, dates, troop strengths, the result and an analysis of the battle. It is marked top secret and was probably captured in the Philippines in late 1944 or early 1945.
