Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. It is accompanied by an English translation of the text. The leaflet reports an air raid on Japanese warships at Rabaul, the sinking of a Japanese fleet bound for New Guinea, the defeat of the Japanese troops in Buna area, the deteriorating situation in Lae and Salamaua, and the inability of the Japanese Navy to support the ground troops. The message also stresses that the military leaders in Japan are caring nothing for the lives of soldiers and are concerned only about concealing their blunder in the South Pacific campaign. 30,000 of them were printed. |
