Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147337 of the 30th Independent Field Anti-aircraft Machine-cannon Battery, who was captured at Talasea by natives and turned over to US Marines on 14 April 1944. During the interrogation, JA147337 provided information on the organisation and operational methods of the 30th Independent Field Anti-aircraft Machine-cannon Battery, the effectiveness of a 20 mm machine-cannon, Allied losses at Bougainville, Allied air attacks on Natamo (near Cape Gloucester) during August 1943, production details and defences at the Kokura Army Arsenal in Fukuoka Prefecture. The appendix contains a sketch of the Kokura Army Arsenal.
