Content: This item is a military notebook belonging to a 1st Class Private SUZUKI Seijirô, from the 3rd Aviation Division 10th Anti-aircraft Regiment. The notebook was issued to Pte SUZUKI in 1939, and he possessed it until at least July 1943. The front of the notebook contains printed copies of the Imperial Rescript on the Armed Forces, and a set of "Military Rules" concerning soldier behaviour and morale. The back of the notebook contains Pte SUZUKI's private notes on his military career, mostly concerning his transfer between different units and his participation in various military operations at locations such as Nanking, Palau, and New Guinea. This item was captured at Kuana Village in October 1944.
