Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) research report on the markings on Japanese ammunition. The enquiry was received on 15 February 1944 and an answer despatched on 24 February 1944. The report contains information on the markings and colour bands of artillery shells, shells used in turret guns, and incendiary-shrapnel bombs and machine-gun cartridges used by the Japanese Army and Navy. The information in this report was updated in RR-60 supplement 1. |
