Content: This is a combined Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for three prisoners of war. They were captured between February and May 1944 in New Britain and at Sentani in Dutch New Guinea. JA147263 was a university graduate with two years' study experience at Cincinatti and Columbia Universities. He was annoyed when his English was not utilised in the Army. During the interrogation, they provided information on unit organisation and movements. JA147263 described his reactions to being captured. Two sketches of Japanese military vehicles and sketch maps of Shanghai are attached.
