Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. An English translation of the text is attached. This issue reports the use of the southern airfield on Iwojima by the American Air Force, the occupation of Palawan Island by the American forces, the bombing of Tokyo on 4 March, the advance of the Allied Forces to the Rhine River in Germany, the advance of the Russian forces to the Baltic coast and the provision of relief supplies for people in France, Italy and Greece. 120,000 of them were printed. 25,500 of these leaflets were dispatched to Darwin, 20,000 to Torokina, 30,000 to Lae, 30,000 to Morotai and 15,000 to Hollandia. All of them were dispatched on 15 March 1945. |
