Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Komiatum near Mt. Tambu on 22 August 1943. This item contains orders and reports for the second and third plans to transport troops to Lae and Tsurubu (Tuluvu, New Britain) in April 1943 following the destruction of a Japanese convoy on the Bismarck Sea on 2-3 March 1943. It also contains summaries of the landings, recommendations for future operations, disembarkation plans and sketches of the landings.
