Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Corporal JA145626 of the 238th Infantry Regiment 1st Battalion Machine Gun Company1st Platoon 1st Section, who was captured at Arndt Point on 15 October 1943. JA145626, a 28 year old Corporal from Gunma, received a gunshot wound while was trying to flee and was captured by Australian troops. During the interrogation, JA145626 provided information on his unit organisation, movements, morale and information on Wewak. A sketch map of the Wewak area is attached.
