Content: This item is a personal diary of Vice Admiral KUSAKA Jin'ichi, who was the Commander-in-Chief of the 11th Fleet and the South East Area Fleet from 1942. It covers the entire year of 1942 and records his daily activities scrupulously. In addition to his personal activities, it briefly mentions the performance of the Imperial Navy on the day. KUSAKA was stationed in Etajima until the end of October. He was then posted to Rabaul as the Commander-in-Chief of the 11th Fleet. KUSAKA served concurrently as the Commander-in-Chief of the South East Area Fleet from 24 December 1942.
