Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. An English translation of the text is attached. The message states that Saipan fell to the Allies on 8 July, Guam thirteen days later and landing on a Tinian Islands was carried out on 24 July. As mainland Japan is now under threat, it states that Japanese forces in the south have become of little strategic significance and their fighting is pointless. |
