Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147133 of the 1st Independent Mixed Regiment 2nd Battalion 4th Company 2nd Platoon 1st Section, who was captured at sea on 15 November 1944. He and his companions were trying to leave Los Negros for Tong Island as the Allies landed on the island. JA147133, a 21 year old 1st Class Private from Ibaraki Prefecture, was captured by US PT boat crew. During the interrogation, JA147133 provided information on his unit, movements, the battleship Yamato, Allied air attacks in Truk, Kavieng, New Ireland. and Manus Island, Allied propaganda leaflets, and conditions in Japan. Sketch maps of Katsuta-machi, the Mito area, and the Hitachi Arms Factory are attached.
