Content: This item is a Japanese-language propaganda newspaper produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. It is accompanied by an English translation of the text. This issue which is dated 31 May 1943 reports the death of Admiral YAMAMOTO, the annihilation of the Japanese troops on Attu Island, concerns about air raids on the Japanese mainland, the establishment of new airfields in New Guinea by the Allies, the surrender of Germany and Italy in Africa, the air raids on the German industrial districts and the Allied attack on two disguised German merchant ships. 40,000 of them were printed.
