Content: This item is a war diary of the 112 Line of Communication Hospital for March 1944. It is marked military secret, and consists of daily reports on numbers of inpatients, deaths, recoveries and patients sent to Wewak. Names of the deceased and the causes of deaths are detailed in each report. The main causes of death were Malaria and a disease identified only as Hansa fever. It also contains some information about other hospitals in the area, such as the Mugil and Madang field hospitals, the Hansa ward and the Ulingan surgery.
