Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Bosnik (on Biak Island, Irian Jaya) on 28 May 1944 during the Allied attacks on Japanese positions in northern Dutch New Guinea, which were intended to isolate the 18th Army at Wewak. This item is a collection of 27 sketches of Japanese airfields in the Dutch East Indies and the Dutch New Guinea area. The sketches show runways, revetments, dispersal areas and installations, with comments as to the suitability of airfields for use by various types of aircraft.
