Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) supplementary interrogation report for JA147718, a Merchant Seaman who left Japan in January 1944. This report is part of a combined report on economic information collected from selected prisoners who left Japan between June 1943 and January 1944. The capture details for each prisoner are not recorded. During the interrogation, JA147718 provided information on merchant ships, and the situation of the merchant marine. Diagrams of ship engines, lists of insignias and ranks and salaries of merchant marines are attached.
