Content: This item is a small propaganda leaflet in Japanese which was produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Pacific War. The message stresses that to live can be harder than to die but the motherland will need her people to reconstruct Japan when peace comes. It mentions that Tokyo radio (Radio Broadcasting) reported that 600 Japanese POWs in Sandakan were treated well by the British. 140,000 of them were printed.
